Kieran Patrick Francis Aimette is Maura's son. Daydream is his first acting experience. In the film, he portrays "Nick", a shy and defensive recluse, semi-based off the director's childhood years. Nick finds himself caught between his aloof father, and his energetic English teacher who just won't leave him alone!

 

     Patrick also approaches the role by bringing a degree of his own personality and charisma, making the character a combination of a 27 year-old's memories of childhood, and an actual 11-year-old currently going through adolescence.

     In addition to Daydream, Patrick is a writer of short stories and is currently working on a novella... a historical fantasy saga about a father and son in Ireland. He plans to continue building his writing portfolio in the coming years.
