Kieran Patrick Francis Aimette is Maura's son. Daydream is his first acting experience. In the film, he portrays "Nick", a shy and defensive recluse, based off of the movie's director when he was that age. Nick is caught between his aloof father, and his energetic English teacher who just won't leave him alone!

 

     Kieran also approaches the role by bringing a degree of his own personality and charisma, making the character a combination of a 27 year-old's memories of childhood, and an actual 11-year-old currently going through adolescence.

     In addition to Daydream, Kieran is a writer of short stories and is currently working on a novella... a historical fantasy saga about a father and son in Ireland. He plans to continue building his writing portfolio in the coming years.
