Veteran NJ English teacher for more than 20 years, with degrees from Columbia University and the New School in NYC, Maura Aimette has made a defining mark in public education. She taught 6th grade Language Arts at Central Middle School in Stirling, NJ from 2001-2025.

     In Daydream, she plays herself... an eccentric and quirky teacher whose lessons are humorous, but also profound. She attempts to get through to Nick, despite his resistance. The script is based on a real lecture she gave on daydreaming.

     Aimette recently finished her final year teaching her LAL class and is currently transitioning to becoming a librarian. In addition to Daydream, she is also the creator of the educational series Writing Rules, as well as a published author and poet.
